Pair of 'Reler'chairs by Augusto Bozzi for Saporiti, Italy, 1968

Description
Augusto Bozzi (1924–1982) was a renowned Italian furniture designer. In the 1940s, he began designing his iconic chairs and armchairs, and in 1950 he entered into a partnership with the Italian company Saporiti Italia, a manufacturer of furniture collections, to produce his designs. During the 1950s, Augusto Bozzi collaborated with Sergio Saporiti, founder of Saporiti, and designers Alberto Rosselli and Giorgio Raimondi to create design objects and furniture with clean lines and innovative materials.
Augusto Bozzi's commercial success was largely the result of his fruitful collaboration with Sergio Saporiti. This strong partnership resulted in designs that combined innovation, discreet simplicity and lightness. Bozzi's chair and sofa designs meticulously adopted an approach in which thin metal structures were used as support for contoured and padded seating for chairs, armchairs and sofas.
For the upholstering of the chairs we have used a brown alpaca fabric by Dedar. - More Information
