Antique Sailor's Woolwork Embroidery Picture of a three masted ship. The embroidery is worked in wool and cotton in a variety of stitches, on cotton ground. Some details picked out in metallic thread and beads. Colours white, cream, blues, black and red. Scene depicts a three masted ship with sails unfurled, flying the White Ensign, the flag of the British Royal Navy. Framed in old frame with rippled, old glass. Mounting: The embroidery is tacked to a wood panel. Frame backed with additional original paper.. Dimensions exclude the frame and slip.
