    Georgian Mini Sampler, circa 1830. The sampler is worked in silk threads on a linen ground, in cross stitch throughout. Geometric line border. Colours green, silver, blue and brown. A scattering of motifs, including a potted flowering plant with birds perched either side and a squirrel on top. Also crowns, hearts, flowers and strawberries. Framed in an old, burr maple frame with glass. Mounting: The sampler is fixed to board. Frame backed with paper and sealed with tape.. Dimensions exclude the frame and slip.
