Description
This vintage Florenc Knoll 3 seater chrome sofa is really an amazing piece of furniture that has it all. These sofas are extremely well made and incredibly comfortable.
Florence Knoll always approached furniture design with the larger space in mind. Most important to her was how a piece fit into the overall environment—the room, the floor, the building. And while she never regarded herself as a furniture designer, her quest for harmony of space and consistency of design led her to design several of Knoll’s most iconic pieces—all simple, none plain. Her lounge collection, designed in 1954, is a perfect example of her restrained, geometric, architectural approach to furniture.
This sofa has been reupholstered about 10 years ago by Nautical Needles - a leading top tier shoreline company. It's a high end Kravet taupe grey woven fabric that is in good overall condition with minimal sun fade issues, no tears or stains. This sofa measures 29"t x 91"l x 32"d x 29"t with a seat height of 17.5’’
This sofa has a small piece of the original Knoll International label on its frame bottom that shows “Knoll In”-see photo.
This sofa was reupholstered in Karvet fabric approx. 10 years old and shows only minor wear. No pet odors, rips or tear just some mild fading. Partial label intact underneath. Heavy chrome frame shows minor scratches. -
