Description
French Empire, Dore Bronze, Crystal, Impressive Chandelier or Pendant Light, France, 19th c.
An exceptional early 19th century French chandelier crafted in 22kt dore bronze and adorned with finely cut crystal. This stout and wonderfully cast chandelier is a true work of art, showcasing masterful bronze casting of the highest quality.
The richly detailed frame features a shell-cast apron, elegantly decorated with leaf and vine motifs, complemented by classical female masks, creating a striking and unforgettable presence. The craftsmanship is second to none, making this chandelier an extraordinary focal point.
The body is further enhanced with finely cut hanging crystals, beads, and swags, adding brilliance and refinement without overwhelming the form. Its balanced scale makes it perfectly suited for a foyer, bath, or intimate space, where historic elegance and sculptural beauty are desired.
