1950s Ignazio Gardella LP5 'Coppa Aperta' Sconce for Azucena.
Known as the 'open cup' or LP5, these iconic sconces are executed in pressed glass, black painted metal and brass. An incredibly clean and still quite timeless mid-century vintage design by one of the Italian architectural icons of the era. From its inception, Azucena was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy. Their designs have been long sought after and treasured by collectors worldwide.

Professionally rewired for US electrical with custom period-style brass backplate for mounting to a standard U.S. junction box. Accommodates a single medium base max 75w equivalent LED bulb. Bulbs available for purchase separately. LED only. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee.
Wear consistent with age and use. Please note that one representative lamp is photographed, but all 5 present well as a set and are in similar good vintage condition. The brass is unlacquered and will continue to develop a patina over time. -
