Pair of Chinese Export porcelain armorial octagonal soup bowls, arms of Lauder, with motto "Turris Prudentia Custos". The central scene decorated with two fanciful birds within an exotic landscape with rocks and flowering trees.

Origin: China Period: 18th Century Materials: porcelain Condition: Fair. The colors on these bowls are as bright and fresh as the day they were painted some 270 years ago. Unfortunately, there is a faint stress crack on one, highlighted in the final photo, probably a stress crack from being stacked.
