Description
The Radius model was designed by Jo Hammerborg for the Danish lighting manufacturer Fog & Mørup. Hammerborg was head of design for Fog & Mørup from 1959 through 1980, introducing a modernist aesthetic across many lighting models; the Radius is one of several iconic Scandinavian pendant lamps he produced during this period.
It is part of the Havanna series, a range developed in the late 1960s in collaboration with Kastrup-Holmegaard glassworks. The series is defined by its smoky golden-brown glass colour (“Havanna”), developed specifically for this line. Other models in the series included Cirkel and Dania by Jo Hammerborg, as well as designs by Bent Nordsted (Kora, Sita, Rota). -
