Description
This refined mid-century floor lamp by Bruno Gatta for Stilnovo embodies the clean lines and elegant material contrasts that define Italian lighting design of the 1950s. The composition is centered around a slender, tapered black-lacquered stem, punctuated by a polished brass sphere that creates a balanced visual rhythm along the vertical axis.
The base features a sculptural stepped form in gleaming brass set on a dark circular plinth, lending both stability and a sense of architectural weight. Above, a wide cylindrical fabric shade in deep red provides a warm counterpoint to the metallic and lacquered elements, softly diffusing light for an ambient glow.
Combining simplicity, proportion, and refined detailing, this lamp reflects Gatta’s approach to functional yet sophisticated design and stands as a timeless example of Stilnovo’s contribution to Italian modern lighting. - More Information
