Fantastic executed, rustic wooden wall mirror out of Austria from the period around 1880. This so-called "Black Forest" mirror has been elaborately hand carved out of basswood and impresses with its unique design - created in the manner of cutted tree branches. The very dark brown, almost black looking surface, sealed by a mat varnish finish reinforces this artfully created style. The mirror plate has been renewed during the restoration process. The metal clamp on the backside makes wall mounting easy. Another truly gorgeous example of a late 19th century Black Forest mirror in our highly sought-after rustic mirror collection.
