PAIR OF CARVED GILTWOOD TABLE LAMPS
Probably Italian, circa early 20th century | unmarked
ref. 412OPJ09P
22 1/4" H; base 6" W x 6" D
A fabulous pair of very decorative table lamps from the first half of the 20th century, the feature a bold vasiform body with tapered lobe reeding flanked by flowing foliate flourishes on either side, raised over an integral square base. They retain an early iron collar around the bulb fixture and raise a simple pair of shades. Both have been rewired with vintage style braided cord. A very pleasant presentation.
Condition Report:
Extensive chipping and wear throughout the gilding. Some mild discoloration to vintage shades. Rewired. Ready to place. -
