Saarinen Executive Arm Chair in Blue Leather on Stainless Steel Base by Knoll

$ 2,750
  • Description
    Eero Saarinen is widely regarded as one of the most important furniture designers of the 20th Century, known for his innovative use of materials and sculptural approach to form. His iconic pieces, such as the Tulip Chair, Womb Chair, and these Executive Chairs continue to embody his design philosophy and are celebrated for their timeless elegance and functional simplicity.

    Our Studio has been restoring Saarinen Executive Chairs for years, evolving their style with elevated materials for modern living. This particular Saarinen Executive Chair is the Arm Chair version (Model 71) which features an early polished stainless steel base. This desirable base design is no longer produced by Knoll, and it's been professionally polished by our team to return it to its original mirror-brilliance. Durable performance-grade leather in the color Ink blue was selected for the upholstery, a handsome complement to the polished stainless steel finished. Every aspect of this chair has been restored, including four new ball casters.

Message from Seller:

Stories exist in many forms, we see them in objects. The aesthetic of those before us is passed down through their surviving creations. These are the objects we search for; to preserve, refine, & continue the story. Object Refinery combines design obsession, fine craftsmanship, and a love for history in our worldwide search for objects. Based in Connecticut, USA; we partner with a network of local artisans to restore and refine our findings before passing them on to the next collector.
