    Bill Curry for Design Line Nut Bookends, Nickel Chrome, Cast Iron, Signed. Jumbo sized, heavy eight-sided nut form bookends with real threads, finished in nickeled chrome over iron. The polished nickel front and back are contrasted with a smooth pebbled texture of the top, bottom and sides. Each bookend weighs 16 pounds. Both retain the original gold Design Line decal/labels.

    Design Line was based in El Segundo, California and was founded by Bill Curry, 1927–1971. By 1969, Curry's reputation had developed to the point that the Los Angeles Times would describe him as "One of California's leading designers."
