Description
A jewelry box of rectangular form with domed and corniced top and base plinth of stitched leather. Featuring gilt tooled leather covering all around and elaborate hand-tooled scenes of hunters in a forest with dogs and deer to front, back, top and both sides. Retaining original brass key, original shaped brass lockplate surmounted by a crown, top handle, side handles, interior hinges and lemon shaped brass feet. Probably Florentine, circa 1630.
