Description
This lounge chair, designed by Luciano Frigerio and produced by Frigerio di Desio in Italy during the 1970s, reflects the architectonic clarity and sculptural sensibility that define his work. The solid wooden frame is composed with a strong emphasis on structure and proportion, articulated through precise joinery and distinctive carved detailing. Frigerio’s practice, situated between design and applied art, is evident in the balance between expressive form and disciplined construction.
The generously proportioned cushions introduce a soft counterpoint to the geometric rigor of the frame, offering a relaxed seating experience while maintaining visual balance. Rooted in the Italian design culture of the period, the chair embodies a synthesis of craftsmanship, material depth, and architectural presence. It functions equally as a utilitarian object and as a composed element within a curated interior. Sold individually. -
