Description
An outstanding pair of Japanese cobalt blue and white porcelain Imari faceted hexagonal-shaped platters of the Meiji period, the center decorated with hand-painted plum blossoms framed by a diaper pattern alternating with stylized floral patterns. The underside is hand-painted with bamboo shoots and mounted on a raised foot, blue circle enclosed by a maker’s mark.
