French 19th Century Louis Philippe Walnut Enfilade with Red Marble Top

An immense 19th century French Louis Philippe walnut enfilade, the staggering scale feels even more expansive by the red marble top with expressive white veining. Below the stretch of marble (shaped to chamfered corners), a line of six drawers across the frieze open by turned wood knobs integrated into the door fronts. Keyholes between them are simply decorative now. Six cabinet doors over the compartments follow the same order, grouped in pairs that each share a lock, three keys included. Inside are stationary shelves, 15 ¾” deep. Stepped block feet raise the enfilade from the floor to give it a sense of lightness in spite of the visual weight. Massie Red marble slab has beautiful veining, it has light scratches and a few chips to be expected with its age. The marble top is actually two slabs that fit together for easier transportation and safe installation on site. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for your interior. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
