Van Cleef & Arpels Paris Diamond Ring

Made in the 1980s, this Van Cleef & Arpels platinum ring is set with over three carats of diamonds. The high-domed bombé form is pavé-set with a field of round brilliant-cut diamonds with an approximate total weight 3.06 carats. Satisfyingly soft and weighty, yet showing a minimum of metal, this beautifully balanced, streamlined ring is all white brilliance and sparkle on the finger.

Pery et Fils is a Parisian manufacturing jeweler which enjoyed a long history of artisanal and design cooperation with houses such as Cartier, Boucheron, Mauboussin and Chaumet, and beginning in the 1920s, most notably with Van Cleef & Arpels. The firm's fabulously complex and innovative "Zip" necklace, created at the request of a key client, the Duchess of Windsor, and realized by Pery & Fils designer Louis Grin, was a project that required over a decade to complete, spanning the pre and post World War II period. The Péry workshop was eventually incorporated into Van Cleef & Arpels.
