Sebastián Matta (1911–2002) was a Chilean-born artist, architect, and designer, internationally celebrated as one of the leading figures of Surrealism. After studying architecture in Santiago and working briefly with Le Corbusier in Paris, he became closely associated with André Breton and the Surrealist movement.
