18th Century Dutch Louis XVI Style Mahogany Cabinet

This massive Louis XVI style Dutch mahogany armoire from the late 1700’s will make an architectural statement in any room. Reeded and chamfered corners soften the otherwise large case piece. A pair of doors with decorative molding and rosettes open using a working lock and key to a fitted interior. Inside are three fixed shelves; the upper shelf is 11” deep, while the other two shelves measure 17” deep. There are five drawers, three with petite brass knobs. Below the top doors are four massive drawers spanning 57” wide, each opening with a pair of brass drop pulls. All drawers retain escutcheon plates and locks; however, no keys are present for the drawers. The top drawer is lined with green velvet and fitted to store your silverware. All drawers have been cleaned and open easily. This antique is sturdy and has been recently refinished, highlighting its beautiful figured mahogany. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
