Description
Few pieces possess the ability to soften a room while simultaneously commanding it and this generously scaled postmodern chaise lounge sofa made by Weiman achieves precisely that balance, presenting an elegant study in curve, proportion, and tactile luxury. The chaise's sweeping crescent back gently rises and falls across the silhouette, embracing the expansive seat and creating an inviting sense of enclosure reminiscent of Vladimir Kagan sofas. Wrapped entirely in new sumptuous chocolate bouclé, the rich chocolate cocoa textured upholstery lends remarkable depth to the piece. The softness of the bouclé contrasts beautifully with the discreet polished chrome feet, which lift just enough to create the illusion that the chaise hovers effortlessly above the floor. The texture of the fabric also ventilates incredibly well keeping you cool in summer and cozy in winter.
From every vantage point, the design reveals an understated confidence allowing the piece to reside beautifully in the center of a room. This sculptural quality is the hallmark of the finest postmodern seating—furniture intended to be experienced in the round. The elongated form encourages lounging in the truest sense—whether positioned beneath a large work of art, floating within a conversation area, or serving as the focal point of a sophisticated sitting room.
