Below, the iron structure supports a tiered, ribbed opaline glass shade with a graduated stepped profile, diffusing light in the warm, architectural manner typical of the period.

Encircling the base of the iron framework is a decorative wrought iron band pierced with scrolling spirals and stylized rosette motifs, a hallmark of the sculptural, hand-worked ironwork associated with French Art Deco lighting workshops of the late 1920s.
