Attributed to a Murano glass maker, this exceptional Italian chandelier dates to circa 1970 and features numerous hand-crafted clear and olive-green glass palmettes arranged in cascading tiers. The leaves are individually suspended from a warm gilt-brass structure, creating a spectacular botanical waterfall effect. The translucent glass, with its subtly textured surfaces and varying shades of green and clear, catches the light beautifully and gives the chandelier a remarkable sense of movement and depth.
The design belongs to the distinctive tradition of Italian Murano lighting of the 1960s–1970s, when naturalistic foliage and exuberant layered glass compositions became characteristic of highly decorative Venetian interiors.
