Pair of Swedish Nightstands, circa 1840

Offered by: Jacqueline Adams Antiques

Description
A pair of Swedish nightstands, circa 1840, the matched bedside pair that nearly every bedroom project wants and few markets supply. Each stand is compact and right-sized for close bedside placement even in smaller rooms. The pair displays the simple, well-judged proportions of mid-19th century Swedish work, with surfaces mellowed by nearly two centuries of use. True period pairs are far scarcer than assembled marriages, and their uniformity brings instant order to a bedroom composition. Beyond the bedside, they serve as end tables or lamp stands in a sitting room. Both are sound, with wear consistent with age and use throughout.

This is an antique and having been around for a long time, it will show signs of wear. Antique pieces have very much sought-after character and associated flaws. Please review photos for condition & contact us with questions!
