British artist Tom Henderson creates innovative "sculptural paintings" that challenge traditional boundaries by exploring light, space, and optical illusion.
In this work, Henderson utilizes cast acrylic and spray paint to achieve a delicate, kinetic aesthetic. The composition features sweeping, interlocking elliptical loops that resemble a continuous, rhythmic line drawing suspended against a translucent background. Outlined in soft blue and yellow hues, these precise, swooping curves create an illusion of depth, weightlessness, and playful movement within the framed space. Through his masterful manipulation of modern materials, Henderson enacts a vibrant visual experience that feels both fluid and precisely engineered.
