Description
The set comprises five side chairs and one commanding armchair, each meticulously crafted from finely figured solid walnut with a rich, glowing honey-brown patina. The design features a classic curvilinear, rolled tablet crest rail transitioning into an open backrest. Centering the back is a highly elegant pierced, hand-carved central splat depicting a neoclassical palmette and scrolling foliate motif.
The armchair is distinguished by sweeping, downswept padded arms terminating in finely turned baluster column supports that flank a wide, serpentine-front seat cushion. The seats are upholstered in a vintage diamond-pattern patterned textile—the side chairs in a golden-mustard palette and the armchair in a coordinating muted olive-green. The set is raised on sleek, turned front legs with ring accents and stabilizing, gently outswept rear saber legs. -
