Description
Gina Werfel creates dynamic, rhythmic compositions that explore the interplay of vivid color, lyrical gesture, and complex spatial structures.
She draws inspiration from her surroundings, translating the qualities of light, nature, and her environment into layered, atmospheric universes.
Fusing traditional brushwork with contemporary techniques like spray paint and stencils, Werfel builds multi-dimensional surfaces that function much like musical polyphony.
Her canvases feature floating fragments, veils of transparent color, and a deliberate tension between crisp graphic lines and fluid gestures. Exhibited widely across the United States and internationally, including shows in New York and Paris, her work offers a sophisticated balance of organic freedom and structured harmony. -
