Description
An elegant mid-20th-century desk clock by Tiffany & Co., dating to circa 1960, featuring a refined combination of gilt bronze, marble, and Swiss-made clockwork. Designed in a compact round form, the clock is housed within a finely finished gilt bronze frame accented by decorative porcelain face, creating a sophisticated contrast between the warm metallic surface and the natural porcelain.
The circular clock case is supported by a square back, allowing it to stand securely on a desk, writing table, library shelf, or bedside table. The restrained yet luxurious design is characteristic of Tiffany & Co. desk accessories of the period, combining practical function with refined decorative appeal.
The clock dial is signed Tiffany & Co. and marked Swiss Made beneath the dial, indicating its Swiss manufacture. Its compact scale and elegant materials make it particularly suitable as an executive desk accessory or as part of a collection of fine mid-century decorative objects.
Measuring approximately 3½ inches high by 3.2 inches in diameter, the clock has a graceful presence while remaining small enough for a variety of display settings. In good condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use. -
