Framed Pastoral Oil Painting by American Painter Charles T. Phelan (1840-1917)

Creator: Charles T. Phelan
Offered by: Joshua Smith Home & Design

Description
This painting in oil on canvas by American artist Charles T. Phelan (1840-1917) depicts a pastoral scene featuring a herd of cows watering in a stream, with a horse and rider in the background. The work is signed to the lower left corner, though due to Phelan often signing his works in black using a fine, delicate hand, it is only discernible under close inspection. The work is finished in a beautiful beveled gold frame. A hand written label is affixed to the reverse.
