After working as a lawyer and qualifying as a fine arts auctioneer, Edouard de la Marque decided to open a design and antiques gallery in 1999 in the Carré Rive Gauche, the center of the antiques trade in Paris. Specialized in mid-century design and decorative arts, Galerie Edouard de la Marque showcases such internationally renowned designers as Jacques Adnet, Pierre Paulin, Charlotte Perriand, Roger Capron and Oscar Niemeyer. Edouard de la Marque has more recently created a specialty in Portuguese design from the 40s to the 70s. His passion for furniture design has led Edouard de la Marque to create his own designs, including brass tables, sconces, chandeliers, mirrors and lacquered tables. Alongside vintage designs, the gallery is now also featuring the work of selected contemporary artists.
