Founded in 2002, the gallery is located on the Upper East Side of New York, and offers a diverse selection of European furniture and decorative objects, as well as Asian works of art and Old Master drawers, from the seventeenth through the mid twentieth century. In addition, we exhibit contemporary art and design, created by a select group of international painters, photographers and sculptors.

With a Bachelor of Arts degree in the History of Medieval Europe from Harvard and a Master of Arts degree in the History of Decorative Arts from the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum and Parsons School of Design, James Sansum been a fine art and antiques dealer thirty years, and has written extensively on art and design, curating several critically acclaimed exhibitions on European boxes, textiles, and works on paper.
