Longfield Farm
Set on a spectacular 400-acre piece of farmland, Longfield Farm is a new residence and equestrian property designed by GPSA to look as though generations of owners have, over time, added to what was once a modest 18th century granite farmhouse. The 9,000 square foot main house and a collection of outbuildings are arranged around two courtyards within an extensive landscape, developed with Deborah Nevins.
The interior architecture and moldings were influenced by antique Federal-era Hudson Valley mantelpieces found for the project while GPSA’s interior decoration celebrates the owners’ love of collecting, within a comfortable setting for family life. Broad openings between rooms create an easy flow for entertaining while tall French doors allow ample light to flood the house.
Longfield Farm was a winner of the 2013 Stanford White Award for new residential construction.
