Berkshires, Massachusetts
Photography by Genevieve Garruppo
Nestled at the end of a long and winding driveway, this 1922 American Federal residence proudly rests atop a hill, offering breathtaking views of the picturesque Massachusetts mountains. Having undergone a series of renovations beginning in the 80s, the family retreat needed some attention. We were entrusted with the task of returning this home to its former grandeur. Today it boasts an updated floor plan along with elevated and refined finishes and details. With our encouragement, the clients ventured to embrace vibrant colors and patterns throughout the residence. Indigo, reds, greens, and pinks infuse each room with personality, creating a cohesive and layered design. The incorporation of textures and exquisite paint finishes complements the art collection that showcases remarkable works by regional artists. Adding to the charm, the home is adorned with elegant heirloom pieces, including fine English and American antiques. These timeless furnishings contribute to an ambiance that feels special and refreshingly contemporary.
