Colorful Condo
Interior Designer: Phyllis Taylor
Contractor: Dan Dielenbach
Interior Architect: William Taylor
This new, 4,000-square-foot, 3-bedroom, 3-bath luxury condo project by Taylor & Taylor may be considered contemporary or eclectic. I’m thinking more eclectic, as eclectic style is the great equalizer; it reshuffles the rule book, mixing and matching old and new, East and West, luxurious and humble. It invites you to fill your space with objects you love and unique finds that strike your fancy. Simply put, it's you, curated. And still it’s contemporary; as in the now; representative of the present; an about-face from the conventions of traditional design.
An ongoing client of the Taylors wanted their condo on Miami Beach to resonate new yet integrate their life’s belongings. As best said by Bill Taylor, architect on the project: "The best way to describe the occupants of this gracious Collins Avenue apartment is “BON VIVANTS” of highest order! The art-deco inspired envelope showcases the collections, souvenirs, and memorabilia of lives well lived. Located in a fabled Miami Beach tower the expansive apartment features a striking highly reflective herringbone walnut floor throughout, a dramatic red kitchen dressed out with stainless and brass jewelry, a sparkling mylar ceiling which serves to stretch the already ample ceiling height, a dazzling gold tone powder room, and best of all… bay and oceanfront views that go on forever.
