Anzolo Fuga
Italian, 1914 - 1998
Born in 1914, Anzolo Fuga came from one of the most distinguished and oldest Murano glass families. His father, Emilio Fugo directed the French-style crystal firm Cristalleria di Venezia e Murano. Anzolo’s mother, Adelaide Barovier, was the daughter of Guiseppe Barovier and a member of the Barovier & Toso legacy. Anzolo studied at the Istituto d’Arte di Venezia and later, between 1955 and 1968, Fuga designed for one of the most important glass houses in Murano, Arte Vetraria Muranese (or A.V.E.M.). Fuga passed in 1988 leaving an extensive legacy of Murano glass highly sought today.
