Arne Hovmand-Olsen (1919-1989) was a Danish furniture designer who was active in the mid-20th century. He was born in Denmark and trained as a cabinetmaker before studying furniture design at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen.
 
Hovmand-Olsen began his career as a furniture designer in the late 1940s, and quickly gained recognition for his innovative designs. His furniture was characterized by its clean lines, simplicity, and functionality, and he often used natural materials such as wood and leather.
 
Hovmand-Olsen designed a wide range of furniture, including chairs, tables, and cabinets, many of which are still produced today. His most iconic designs include the "Model 56" armchair, the "Palisander" sideboard, and the "Propeller" stool.
