Irwin Feld created CF MODERN in an effort to provide customizable luxury furniture fabricated in New York City. Feld’s interpretations of bespoke Mid-century Modern design and merchandising skills have enabled CF MODERN to become an innovative firm, unifying the sum parts of his lifelong dedication to beauty and elegance. Having gained experience as a top selling Mid-century Modern dealer in his Stamford Connecticut gallery, Feld took his vision to the next level and moved business to the New York Design Center where he phased out his vintage collections and concentrated on the custom elements of the CF MODERN collection.
CF Modern maintains a strong commitment to Mid-Century design, as well as to manufacturing locally in New York, assuring quality through attention to detail in the creative process and in the selection of luxury materials. CF Modern is proud to provide an exceptional level of service to architects and designers across the globe.
CF Modern has quickly grown from a signature stiletto bench to a series of collections with categories that include small and large case goods, seating, tables and signature mirrors. Each item is custom designed to the client’s interpretation, fulfilling the specific needs of their project. All seating options are available COM or COL. Wood finishes are meticulously matched to the desired color or lacquer. Standard hardware is solid polished unlacquered brass. Other finishes offered are lacquered, polished, satin, and antique brass, or polished nickel. CF modern produces all custom pieces in a 12 week lead time.
The CF Modern team is friendly, knowledgeable and can assist in design decisions, as well as mechanical shop drawings. We work with the top design professionals in the United States and abroad, shipping custom items nationwide and overseas. We can facilitate shipping and delivery.
