Fausto Salvi
Italian, 1965
Fausto Salvi (1929-1984) was an Italian architect and designer. He is known for his contributions to the design of Italian furniture in the 1950s and 1960s, particularly for the company Saporiti. Salvi studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and began working for Saporiti in the early 1950s. His designs often featured clean lines and geometric forms, and he favored the use of materials like chrome and leather. Salvi's work is considered part of the mid-century modern style, and he is remembered for his innovative designs that were both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
