South Korean Artist Hyunae Kang combines traditional Korean Painting, with Western Abstract Imagery, using natural material, to create innovative mixed-media work that are rich in both color and texture. Hyunae Kang's artwork resides in the permanent collections of the Art Museum of Seoul, the Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center in Anaheim, California. And the Brea Museum and Cultural Center and Historical Society in California. In 2021, Kang's work was featured in a retrospective at Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center in Anaheim, California. The exhibition was the first retrospective for the artist in the United States and showcased works from her early career in South Korea, as well as her most recent projects. The exhibition spaned the entire 5000 square feet of the museum space, and included works of sculpture, painting, and ceramics.
