Tove & Edvard Kindt-Larsen

Danish
Tove Kindt-Larsen (1906-1994) and Edvard Kindt-Larsen (1901-1982) were Danish furniture designers and architects. They were a husband-and-wife team who collaborated on many projects and designed furniture for a number of well-known Danish manufacturers. They were known for their elegant and functional designs, which often featured organic forms and natural materials.

The Kindt-Larsens studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in the 1920s, where they were influenced by the functionalist architecture and design of the time. In the 1930s, they established their own design studio, where they worked on a variety of projects, including furniture, textiles, and interiors.

Some of their most well-known furniture designs include the Elizabeth chair, the Diplomat sofa, and the Cross Leg table, all of which were produced by the Danish manufacturer France & Daverkosen. They also designed furniture for other Danish companies, including Fritz Hansen, A. J. Iversen, and Søren Willadsen.

In addition to their furniture design work, the Kindt-Larsens also worked as architects, designing a number of buildings in Denmark and other countries. They were known for their modernist style, which often featured clean lines and simple forms.
