Verner Panton

Verner Panton is known for his sense of shape, lighting and colors. He designed modern lamps unique to those developed by other Scandinavian designers. He studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and then worked at Arne Jacobsen’s architectural firm before establishing his own studio in 1955. His "stacking chair" -a single molded injection which could be stacked- was considered an innovation. It was designed in 1960 but not into full production until 1968. Verner Panton chairs lighting and designs continue to be highly regarded and sought by collectors and designers.
