Weiman/Warren Lloyd

American
Weiman originated in Rockford, Illinois, in the mid-1930s and quickly gained recognition for its expertly crafted mid-century modern furniture. The company specialized in upholstered seating, including sofas and lounge chairs, as well as accent pieces made from brass and wood. By the early 1940s, Weiman expanded its operations, combining factory efficiency with the quality of bespoke craftsmanship.

In the 1970s, designer Warren Lloyd became associated with the brand, contributing striking designs such as cantilevered chrome lounge chairs and the well-known “Imperial” dining chairs, often produced under the Mastercraft label. Weiman’s influence extended into the late 20th century when it joined Bassett Furniture in 1979 and was later acquired by Interlude Home in 2006. Today, the Weiman and Warren Lloyd legacy endures through timeless, collectible pieces that continue to shape modern interiors.
