Willi Ohler

Willi Ohler (1910-1983) was a German painter and graphic artist. He was born in Hamburg and studied at the Hamburg School of Arts and Crafts, where he later became a teacher. Ohler was known for his abstract paintings and graphic design, and was part of the Neue Sachlichkeit movement in the 1920s and 1930s. He was also influenced by the Bauhaus school, and his work often reflected its principles of simplicity and functionality. Ohler's work was exhibited in numerous shows throughout Europe, and he was a member of the Hamburg Secession and the German Werkbund. He died in Hamburg in 1983.
