Description
A handsome pair of French solid oak architectural columns retaining a warm patina and beautifully carved capitals. Each column features classic mid-19th-century proportions with squared bases and richly detailed carving on three sides of the capitals.
As typical for architectural elements removed from their original setting, the backs of the capitals are more simply finished, lacking the full detail found on the front and sides. One capital also shows a loss to a corner of the carved wood, an honest indication of age and use that does not detract from their strong decorative presence.
Perfect for flanking an entry, framing a vignette, or integrating into cabinetry, kitchen islands, or built-in design projects. -
