Description
This pair of Art Deco walnut pedestals, crafted in France circa 1935, exemplifies the refined elegance of the period, blending luxurious materials and streamlined design. The rich walnut wood, with its warm tones and intricate grain, serves as a bold yet natural foundation, while sleek brass detailing adds an element of polished sophistication and light-catching brilliance.
Topping each pedestal is a striking Vitrolite panel, known for its smooth, glass-like surface, which creates a modern contrast to the warmth of the wood and enhances the pedestals' architectural geometry. The minimalist combination of materials—wood, brass, and Vitrolite—perfectly embodies the Art Deco aesthetic, where functionality meets luxury.
Ideal for showcasing sculpture, art, or decorative objects, this pair transcends their functional use to become sculptural focal points in their own right. With their timeless design and meticulous craftsmanship, these pedestals are a testament to the innovation and elegance central to 1930s French Art Deco. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
