This stunning Art Deco sculpture was realized in France, circa 1930. It offers a lady in repose donning a flapper dress, flanked by two greyhound dogs in silvered pewter presented on an exotic onyx base in celadon and variegated tawny. Her hands and face are rendered in nude hued hand carved bone, The lady both greyhounds, one lying at her feet and the other sitting in front of her. With its iconically Art Deco sensibility (and materials) this piece is sure to delight discerning collectors of the period, as well as those with a penchant for exquisite objects. Its refined palate and clean modernist lines ensure that this sculpture would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Deco to contemporary. It is in excellent vintage condition.
