Several formal characteristics make it possible to identify the Bwende iconography: the cap worn on the back of the head, regularly hatched and surmounting the hair whose contours can be seen on the left temple, the diamond frontal tattoo, the very advanced eyebrow arch covering the eyes made of round pieces of earthenware, the C-shaped ears, the width of the shoulders and the prognathism that causes the projection of the mouth.This Bwende statue also has prestigious origins,
Plusieurs caractéristiques formelles permettent d'identifier l'iconographie Bwende : la casquette portée à l'arrière de la tête, régulièrement hachurée et surmontant les cheveux dont les contours peuvent être vus sur la tempe gauche, le tatouage frontal en forme de diamant, l'arc sourcilière très prononcé recouvrant les yeux en utilisant des morceaux ronds de poterie, les oreilles en forme de C, la largeur des épaules et le prognathisme qui provoque la projection de la bouche.
