Description
This dynamic Mid-Century Brutalist bronze sculpture by renowned American artist Chaim Gross captures the rhythmic energy of figures performing the Hora Dance, a traditional Israeli folk dance symbolizing joy and communal celebration. Crafted in 1966, the piece exemplifies Gross's ability to transform motion and emotion into striking three-dimensional forms.
The figures, rendered in intricate detail, are entwined in a flowing circular composition, creating a sense of unity and movement. The sculptural technique prominently reflects Brutalist aesthetics, with rough textures and organic forms that convey both the spontaneity of the dance and the raw power of the medium.
Signed "Chaim Gross", the sculpture serves as both a study of human connection and an artistic expression of cultural heritage. Whether displayed as a centerpiece or in a curated art collection, this work stands as a testament to Gross’s mastery in figurative art and his celebration of human experience. In Excellent Vintage Condition. Signed Chaim Gross and also dated 1966 . This is not a edition piece but one of kind.
