Description
Amazing hand welded undulating copper and bronze rod sculpture with a Verdigris patina created by contemporary sculptor Douglas Ihlenfeld. This work is a one of a kind piece from his 'progression' series. The sculpture displays well from every angle and produces a strong optical moire effect as the viewer walks around it. A masterfully executed work that does not disappoint.
Douglas is the son of the world-renowned sculptor, Klaus Ihlenfeld. He mastered his craft under the supervision of his father and lived for many years on the Harry Bertoia family property where he was constantly surrounded by some of the most important 20th century modernist sculptures ever produced. His work is the next chapter of that legacy. -
