A striking large lidded jar designed and handcrafted by renowned Mexican artist Emilia Castillo in Taxco, Mexico. Made in fine white porcelain with intricate inlays of pure silver, the vessel features two beautifully detailed butterflies surrounded by swirling vines and delicate blossoms. The naturalistic motif reflects Castillo’s celebrated design language, merging traditional Mexican silversmithing with elegant, contemporary forms.
This piece is signed on the base and under the lid: “Emilia Castillo, Plata Pura, Mexico, E”, confirming authenticity and origin.
